Have you ever wanted a one, specific thing, so much?
like everything else doesn't matter, because you know exactly what you want. People may offer different things -better things probably- but you don't think those things are any good. You only see that particular thing.
like nothing else matters, because you finally realize nothing can replace what you want. Like what Celine said in Before Sunset:
This kind of desire might be thrilling. It makes you alive, like you would do anything, literally anything just to get it, to embrace it, to have it. Which is probably good, because you know where you're going. You don't just accept everything that's offered to you. This filter system in your life works well.
But you know, sometimes, you can get to the point where it can be tiresome, leave you in despair state. Because nothing can guarantee that you can have it, even after every thing you did.
You might end up giving up, and find out that the thing you want to have so badly is impossible to have. You stop chasing, and begin rationalizing you own logic, recognizing other things which may not be the best, but still okay.

like nothing else matters, because you finally realize nothing can replace what you want. Like what Celine said in Before Sunset:
"Everyone is made up of such beautiful specific details"
or that certain quote people giving us when we're single:
"There's plenty of fish in the sea"
Well, the problem is, my friend, I want that fish.
Like, I don't care if everyone offers me salmon, when what I really want is simply ikan teri.
You see, there's always something that every person has something which makes it distinct to every other individuals and it attracts another person.
"Maybe it's not for me."
"Well, this one is not that bad, I can live with that."
Those sayings are probably the ones you might say when you decide to stop.
In the end, when you stop following your desire, your own feeling to reach what you want, your logic will drive yourself.
But let me tell you,
letting your logic only to steer your life
is not a good thing.
